Terms of use

This site is published by Etgar Shpivak, an independent marketing advisor based in Yakum, Israel. Using it means these terms apply. They are short because the site does not do very much: it publishes writing and it takes enquiries.

What is here, and what it is worth

Everything published here is general commentary on marketing, written from experience. It is not advice about your company. Your situation has facts this site does not know, and a rule that works for one seed-stage company is wrong for the next one. Nothing here creates a client relationship, and you should not make a funding, hiring or spending decision on the strength of a page you read for free.

Advisory work is a separate thing, agreed in writing, with its own scope and its own terms. Sending the enquiry form does not start it.

Accuracy

Facts on this site were correct when written and are dated where the date matters. Companies get acquired, delisted and renamed, numbers move, and people change roles. If you find something out of date or wrong, tell me and I will fix it.

Copyright

The writing, the design and the images are mine, except where credited. Quote what is useful and link back. Do not republish a whole article, and do not feed the site to a model for the purpose of reproducing it under someone else's name.

Quotes from podcast guests belong to the people who said them and are used with attribution. Company names and logos mentioned anywhere on the site belong to their owners, and a mention is not a claim of endorsement in either direction.

The site links to other people's work: podcast platforms, articles, the company I built and the organizations I am part of. I do not control any of those pages and I am not responsible for what they say or do.

The enquiry form

Send real information and send it about your own company. What happens to it, including cookies, is covered in the privacy notice. I answer what I can, and I am not obliged to answer, to take on work, or to keep an opinion to myself if you ask for it.

The site is provided as it is. I do not promise it will always be up, and I am not liable for a loss you take from acting on something you read here. Nothing in this paragraph limits liability that cannot be limited under Israeli law.

Which law

Israeli law applies, and the courts of Tel Aviv have jurisdiction.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. There is no email list for this and there will not be one.
